The Olympus View Zoom 120 has an unconventional appearance; very wide, it offers a very bright viewfinder. The viewfinder's front window is visible right next to the Olympus mark. Although it is off-center, a set of mirrors, like a horizontal periscope, returns the image to the eyecup that is perfectly centered. This viewfinder provides the user with bright information, which allows to frame while checking the parameters. The viewfinder has a diopter correction for the happiness of glasses wearers.
Original and practical idea, the zoom control is ... on the front, under the flash, within reach of the left hand that holds the device.
This device, presented mid-February 2001 PMA (Orlando, USA), was marketed in a metal box.
When the lady I bought the device insisted on going to get me "the metal box to put it away", I was expecting a box of cakes ... nice surprise!
